The BALI National Landscape Awards in association with Horticulture Week are the premier landscaping awards, and December 2011 saw them celebrate their 35th ceremony.

To receive a BALI National Landscape Award is one of the landscape industries’ highest accolades and demonstrates a level of high achievement and professional excellence.

Blakedown Landscapes, a regular BALI award winner, has demonstrated its commitment to constructing top quality projects by being awarded 2 prizes at this year’s event.

The first award winning project was a Restoration & Regeneration Scheme at Broadley Street Garden, London. The design called for a range of Hard and Soft landscaping skills from Blakedown and included bespoke playground items and natural stone paving.

Collaboration with the landscape architect and client was key to the regeneration of this pocket park.

The second award was for the Best Innovation/Technology used in a Landscapes Scheme at Brockwell Park. The project was constructed on behalf of Lambeth Council and part funded by the Historic Lottery Fund. The works saw a formerly redundant paddling pool transformed into a new water play area featuring water spray jets, a rivulet with water pumps and dams and a large sand blasted concrete splash pool.

Construction skills and health and safety considerations were highlighted by BALI as a credit to Blakedown Landscapes.
